Gabriel received his BS in Biology from The University of Akron and is a current graduate student in the McDermott lab. He studies the molecular and biophysical mechanisms that govern sensory mechanotransduction, with emphasis on how TMC-family proteins shape the conversion of mechanical stimuli into cellular signals.
