James Kline

James is a Master of Science student in Regenerative Medicine & Entrepreneurship through the National Center for Regenerative Medicine at the CWRU School of Medicine. He joined the McDermott lab as an undergraduate Research Assistant in 2024, where he works with transgenic zebrafish to study the genetics of hearing loss. His day-to-day work includes PCR, gel electrophoresis, cryosectioning, imaging, and a range of assays. He has also helped lead the neuroscience outreach program, CNIP, engaging high school students in hands-on lab activities during the summers of 2024 and 2025.
